From 2011 to Berlin: My Scentsy Family Reunion Adventure
Back in 2011, when I first clicked that little “join” button with Scentsy, our eldest daughter was just three years old. I never could have imagined that nearly 14 years later, I’d be taking her along as my guest to the 2025 Scentsy Family Reunion (SFR) in Berlin, Germany.
The Journey Begins
Our adventure started early, painfully early. The alarm went off at 2am last Wednesday, and I immediately regretted my life choices. But the moment we arrived at the airport and spotted fellow consultants boarding with big smiles and waves, I knew it was going to be a special few days.
After landing at Berlin Brandenburg Airport, we navigated our way to Alexanderplatz by train, met up with friends (and even one of our Director couples), and checked into the Park Inn, home to the highest swing in Europe. For the record, I did not brave it!
Exploring Berlin
With bags dropped, we dove straight into sightseeing. First stop: the TV Tower, Berlin’s tallest point with panoramic city views. A cheeky cocktail at the top officially kicked off our trip.
From there, we hopped on a sightseeing bus to the stunning Reichstag, then enjoyed a serene river cruise along the Spree. We squeezed in quick visits to Brandenburg Gate, the Holocaust Memorial, Checkpoint Charlie, and, my highlight, a section of the Berlin Wall. As someone who remembers watching it fall on TV as a little girl, seeing it in person was a powerful experience.
After a full day of exploring under the summer sun, we wound down with dinner and cocktails.
Conference Day One: Leadership
Leadership Day is one of my favourite parts of SFR, reserved for Directors, Star Directors, and SuperStar Directors. It’s always inspiring to connect with friends, meet new faces, and spend time with our Home Office team including Co-Owners Heidi & Orville Thompson.
We got sneak peeks of upcoming products, training on AI and marketing tools, and had insightful business discussions. That evening, Scentsy treated us to a gorgeous three-course meal. My daughter’s highlight? The biggest chocolate fountain I’ve ever seen her eyes nearly popped out of her head!
Conference Day Two: Stepping Onto the Stage
The day started with something I never thought I’d say: an hour in the gym. After breakfast, it was time for the main conference, open to all consultants.
This year, I was honoured to be invited onto a panel to share my experiences over the years. Speaking in front of 700 people (plus a virtual audience) was nerve-wracking, but I was proud of myself, and the hugs and kind words afterwards meant the world.
The evening brought the Awards Ceremony. My daughter and I proudly walked together for both the Annual Sales Award and the SuperStar Director title. Watching others be recognised, including the Alice Kalilimoku Shining Star Award winner, reminded me again what a generous, supportive community Scentsy is. On paper, we’re “competition,” but in reality, many of my closest friendships have been made here.
Conference Day Three: Team Spirit
Our team, “Written In The Stars,” showed up in matching T-shirts for a day packed with consultant speakers sharing tips and inspiration. Lunch at an Italian restaurant gave us time to connect with team members from across the UK and Scotland before returning for the final session.
Over the last two days, we also previewed our upcoming Autumn/Winter 2025 catalogue and some exciting limited-edition launches — Snoopy and Toy Story included! I even had to buy an extra suitcase to bring everything home.
We ended the conference by announcing our team’s Shining Star 2025 congratulations to Rebekah Higgs in Australia, celebrating her 10-year Scentsy anniversary!
A Sweet Farewell
Before heading home on Sunday, my daughter and I zipped through Berlin on e-scooters to visit a quirky 2D café she’d spotted on TikTok. With shops closed on Sundays, we arrived at the airport early for a bit of duty-free shopping before flying home.
We came back exhausted and voiceless, but with full hearts. I’m beyond excited for the next six months with Scentsy, and if you haven’t been to Berlin, I can’t recommend it enough. It’s beautiful, calm, and I can’t wait to return one day.
